Save the Date! Our next Virtual Q&A will be held Monday, March 8th at 6 PM Eastern and will focus on careers in K-12 education. We will hear from two educators – GT Stamps alum Charlie Bryant, who teaches high school Computer Science, and Elizabethtown Stamps alumna Gillian Engelbrecht, who teaches 8th grade U.S. History. Meet our panelists:
Charlie Bryant A native of Gainesville, GA, Charlie Bryant attended the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Stamps Scholar, and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science.In the classroom, his style is to keep it collaborative and fun. Charlie’s goals for the students are to laugh together and encourage one another on a daily basis. He hopes “students will be unafraid to take intellectual risks and push themselves.”In his free time, Charlie enjoys playing the ukulele, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, disc golf and reading fantasy and science fiction. |

Gillian Engelbrecht Gillian Engelbrecht is originally from Columbia, MD, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in secondary social studies education at Elizabethtown College as a Stamps Scholar in 2018. While at school, she was an active member in the band, Education Organization, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and Circle K. Following graduation, she was awarded a Fulbright-Nehru grant to teach conversational English at Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India for the 2018-2019 school year. Upon returning to the states, she earned her Master’s degree in learning, diversity, and urban studies at Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. Gillian is now in her first year teaching 8th grade US History at a public middle school in Hyattsville, Maryland. |
