University of Texas Austin Stamps Scholar alumnus Andrew Bazley majored in biochemistry as an undergrad and is now a cell biology and biochemistry PhD student at NYU Medical School. At NYU he researches cancer, specifically how cells respond to physical stress and regulate internal molecular crowding. For now, his normal research is on pause while he works on a COVID-19 vaccine and helps develop antibody tests.

He also started a journal club at NYU geared towards engaging undergraduates in life sciences research and is happy to talk with anyone about STEM, medicine, grad school- life, applying, etc.
