Churchill Scholarship
Description
The Churchill Scholarship provides funding to American students for a year of Master’s study in science, mathematics, and engineering at the University of Cambridge, based at Churchill College. The Scholarship was set up at the request of Sir Winston Churchill in order to fulfill his vision of US-UK scientific exchange with the goal of advancing science and technology on both sides of the Atlantic, helping to ensure our future prosperity and security.
The scholarship covers one year of study leading to a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree or a Master in Advanced Study in mathematics (MASt), including all university and college fees, plus a modest living and travel allowance.
Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- Ages 19-26
- May not have attained a doctorate at the time they take up the award
Application Process
Nominations are made by the college or university. Students should contact their campus liaison for information.
